Who We Are

Inline Mechanical was founded by Lachlan Sturgess, a time-served Diesel Fitter with over twelve years across mining, tunnelling, agriculture and construction — including leading hand roles on North East Link and Melbourne Metro Rail, and a season as an expedition mechanic with the Australian Antarctic Division. After a decade on tier-1 construction and mining sites, Lachlan brought that same discipline home to Gympie, founding Inline Mechanical to give local operators the kind of reliable, no-fuss service usually reserved for major projects. We believe in doing the job right the first time: clear communication, fair pricing, and genuine care for your equipment and your bottom line.

From tier-1 tunnelling and mining projects to a season in Antarctica — now bringing that same experience home to the Gympie region.

Fully licensed and ticketed for crane, rigging, dogging and EWP work — the same high-risk work licences required on tier-1 sites. Currently a self-sufficient mobile operation, with the structure in place to bring on casual trade assistants as work grows, without compromising on quality or safety.
